From the Desk of Amedeus

First moon of the new year,

I awoke today to the most horrible sound on earth, my beating heart. It seems that though my tomb did bring my ashes back to life, something has gone awry, and I was cursed with mortality once more. I searched WillowWood to the best of my abilities, and that I am still alive seems only to be because the sun was up when I first revived. The men who once watched over me have been turned to monsterous shadows of themselves, having been gifted with our blood, but not taught to feed themselves. They are madmen, now, little more than animals to be put down if the opportunity arises. One of them is trapped in my closet...He has my good pants in there, the blaggard.

Moving is difficult, how did I manage it when I was mortal? Soon I should have enough knowledge of what has happened to destroy the man responsible for all of this. It must have been one of my children, for not all of their corpses were accounted for in the ruined halls of my home.

I have not yet sent word to Ioria of this. I doubt I would survive the night were I to inform them of my untimely second death.
